"Salt & Pepper of the Day -- Well ... Almost"

I recently discovered a vintage salt and pepper set while treasure hunting.  It's made by the Carrigaline Pottery Co., Ltd. of County Cork, Ireland.

The set is similar to this pair ... white porcelain, gold trim, and signature shamrocks. They are not, however, in the figural shape of a castle and tower.  They are the same height as the smaller piece shown above but have a button top, a beveled body, and taper to a fat little bottom that sits neatly into the hand.

I couldn't find an image of the set I found, so i'm giving you the next best thing.  The set is very lovely.
